BoulderClan Camp- General Roleplay

Blazingkit wrinkled her nose a bit and looked up at the sky. She blinked and looked to Copperear. "I've never seen a start shaped like that before- aren't they all just round balls?" She listened to what he said; but maybe not as intently as she could have. Of course, she didn't realize that she could have been being rude until it finally registered in her mind what he had said last. "Wait, what? How do stars represent a Clan? Do you mean StarClan- well... That would make sense. I didn't know they were the oldest Clan though." She stumbled a bit on her last words; sounding dense didn't bode well with Blazingkit. She hated when she sounded like she didn't know what she was saying.

He nodded slowly, yet didn't quite understand either. "Did StarClan cats once live here, in this forest? And how did they end up there, in the sky?" Seedkit asked, looking towards Copperear with a questioned look upon his face.

He thought at what she said then shuffled his back paws. "Yes, Seedkit. They once lived and walked and hunted upon this very forest, then they passed away, to go live up in the sky with the rest. It may be confusing at first, but as you get older, trust me, you will understand a lot better." Copper tried his best to stay neutral, for this was his religion. He started out slow, to avoid over-spilling or mumbling his speech. He was often excited with talking about Starclan, especially to kits. "That Clan guides and watches over all the clan, and we believe it was here from the beginning of Clans, older than any Clan ever lived. Dead cats live among that clan." He stopped an looked down at the both of them.

"Wow." Seedkit breathed, astonished that cats went back that far in time. He stopped, blinking. "Wait, so... if one of our clanmates died, would they go to StarClan?" his eyes swept around in a pattern, from Copperear, to Blazingkit, to the sky.

Blazingkit blinked once more, she looked back quickly to see if Drizzlekit was coming or not, then looked at Seedkit. She wondered how much he understood all of this, and looked back up at Copperear. She didn't really understand the importance of StarClan, or the significance of the cats up there, so the things that Copperear said didn't have very great an impact on her. Of course, she was still intrigued with the oldest Clan, the first Clan, history piqued her interest, but beliefs just didn't suit her- not yet anyway. "So they're called StarClan because they live in the stars- wait, they died? So does that mean that when we die, we'll be a part of StarClan? And not a part of BoulderClan?" Blazingkit suddenly felt slightly alarmed, and sick, even. The prospect of living with a bunch of strange, dead cats frightened her.

Copperear smiled. "Don't worry, Blazingkit. They are very nice cats, I'm sure. And you don't have to worry about passing away any time soon. You are very young." He flicked his tail and sat down, feeling a bit light-headed at all the questions. "Anything else you'd like to know?" He smiled up at them.

Blazingkit felt relieved at Copperear's words. She let her breath out lightly. What am I worrying about? she thought to herself. The russet tabby looked back up at Copperear, "I don't have any, not yet anyway." She looked to Seedkit, he seemed pretty curious. What's so special about what StarClan does? Why does it matter to us any more than what LightningClan does, or StreamClan and DuskClan? I guess it's just because we all go there someday... But we don't go to the other Clans. She didn't ask Copperear these questions, because she was just being skeptical- and she had just answered the questions for herself.

(We really should hold off until Twisted can reply again o.o Otherwise Drizzlekit will also just be standing there XD)

DrizzleKit blinked and stopped running.
Ugh, what are they doing NOW? She slowly padded closer to CopperEar and BlazingKit, her curiosity growing. "What're you guys doing? I knew you couldn't catch me!" DrizzleKit grinned. "That's why you stopped running." She puffed out her fur proudly.

Seedkit looked towards her, "Copperear just told us about StarClan." a smile rested on his muzzle as he told her this.

"Pfff. Everyone knows about StarClan." DrizzleKit mewed, although inside, she was curious to hear more.

Blazingkit ruffled her fur back at Drizzlekit- letting thoughts of StarClan slip out of her mind as she thought about what had directly involved her before- and gave her russian blue friend a look that said 'I'll get you later!'. Though she didn't voice it, Blazingkit assumed that Drizzlekit would get the message. She perked her ears up at Drizzlekit's next comment, feeling a little indignant, and worried. "Does everyone else really know about StarClan...?" She knew a little before Copperear told them about it earlier; but she couldn't help feeling that she knew too little. She wrinkled her nose; once again Blazingkit hated to feel dense, and when she didn't know as much as everybody else, she felt pretty bad about it.

"Yes!" DrizzleKit mewed, standing beside BlazingKit. She wanted to sound like she knew a lot, or even a bit more than her friend, although she herself hadn't heard too much either.
DrizzleKit had heard the queens talking about StarClan one sunrise, but other than that she hadn't heard anything much. "What's that?" DrizzleKit asked, looking at CopperEar's star curiously.

Blazingkit perked her ears up towards Copperear- she was determined to learn more. "That's a star, he made it out of the snow." She wanted to show that she knew things too, so she made the comment, jumping in before Copperear could reply to Drizzlekit.

Copperear nodded. He saw that she wanted to show her intelligence. So, he added as little. "Yep. That's exactly what I said." He was rather impressed that they were catching on so quickly, and even a little surprised. Kits their age normally don't understand Starclan at such a quick rate. "Also, there are some cats who are living who can communicate with the cats of Starclan." He flashes a smile, talking directly about the Medicine cats.

Blazingkit was grateful for Copperear's comment- it made her look like a listener and a learner; in her opinion at least. She puffed out her chest fur and listened to Copperear- what he said next really surprised her though. "Talk to StarClan?! How is that possible?" She wasn't going to hide her surprise here in order to look as if she knew more than she really did- the idea of living cats talking to those that had passed really intrigued her.

He jumped slightly at her surprise then chuckled. "They are the Medicine cats. There is one in this very clan. There is something called a Moonpool, that is where they go to talk to them. In their dreams."

Blazingkit had heard of a different kind of cat in the Clan; not a warrior and not an apprentice- but one who didn't fight, and would instead heal other cats using plants. She didn't know what to think of this cat; but the first thought that ran through her mind- and the one that tended to stick- was that this cat was wild and lived with mud paintings on it's body. She didn't realize that this was silly, she just thought that any cat who could find life-saving uses in plants- and when she thought of plants, all she really knew were the blades of grass in camp- must be very close to nature. She looked up at Copperear, but then perked her ears up as if she was remembering something. "Please excuse me, guys. I'll be back soon." She got up politely and dipped her head, then turned an headed off to the nursery.

Smoulderkit quickly dashed from the nursery to a large rock and crouched behind it. It was big enough to hide him and his sisters from the sight of the warriors in the clearing. He looked around and grinned as it felt quite nice outside, despite it still being a little bit cold.

Blazingkit trailed behind Smoulderkit. She thought he was being silly, trying to hide from the warriors, but she played along anyway. It could be a fun game. She darted behind the rock, crouching down to wait for Patchkit.

Patchkit's head suddenly popped out of the nursery. The rest of her body soon followed, and she began stumbling out into the camp's center. After the dim light and soft moss of the nursery, she was having a little trouble walking without tripping over her paws. She puffed out a breath of air and pulled herself upright, then began skittering over to where Smoulderkit and Blazingkit had crouched. "Jeez," she muttered, "There's no need to be acting clumsy in the camp; there's not even anything to trip over. Even if it's ridiculously bright. And rocky. And it smells weird." Her tail twitched back and forth enthusiastically, and she bumped shoulders with Smoulderkit. "This is way better than the Nursery, right? There's actually stuff to look at out here, like... a massive pile of food. And the sun." She turned to look at it, and then she swiveled back to her siblings, blinking away the damage she had done to her eyes with aplomb.

"You know better than to look at the sun, mouse-brain" He teased and gave Patchkit a swift lick on her shoulder. He peeked out from behind their rock once more "Hrmm. More rocks over there by the fresh kill pile. Shall we make a dash for it?" He looked to his siblings with an adventurous smile.

Blazingkit peeked her head around the rock she and Smoulderkit were hiding behind. She peered around at Patchkit, the fur around her eyes furrowing with confusion. "Wha-?" She didn't know if Patchkit had surprised herself with the light or what, but she'd never seen a cat do that before. She chortled with light laughter Patchkit accompanied her siblings. She perked her ears up at her sister's next comment; Blazingkit was satisfied anytime her brother or sister made positive comments about BoulderClan. It was her home, and she was happy that her siblings accepted it. "It is nice- I remember it without snow. You can climb up more places- though I was never allowed to. But when it's not snowy or icy, the rocks aren't too slippery. You know, BoulderClan warriors have to learn how to be stealthy on the rocks-" She was getting excited just thinking about it; Blazingkit enjoyed climbing, though she didn't get to climb much often. She also imagined finding small chambers or caves in BoulderClan territory, someplace where she could hide out.

"Anyway- yes we should! Let's do it. I don't see Wiltingleaves or Copperear anywhere, we can make it!" She grinned and crouched down again, looking at their potential path to the fresh kill pile.

Patchkit dug a small divot out of the snow behind the rock, and then she crawled into it. Once her entire body was below the snow line, she began plowing through the snow headfirst. "See, its the perfect hiding place," she bragged, digging a path to the fresh kill pile with some difficulty. After a few feet, her paws became fatigued, so she stopped making a network of trenches and began making a headlong dash for the rocks behind the fresh kill pile. Once there, she called out, "I see what you mean, Blazingkit, there's a huge mess of rocks to climb over here. Too bad they're slippery..." She sized them up, wondering if she could get away with (attempting) climbing them anyway. "Well, whatever, the warriors will definitely see me if I climb up there."

Smoulderkit looked dumbfounded "Okay okay I take everything back Patchkit. You are no mouse-brain. Brilliant" He mewed as he followed through the tunnel shed excavated in the snow. This was a great way to travel unnoticed too. He exited the snow and ran over and behind the rocks that were beside the fresh-kill pile. "We made it~"
