2/21/2013 Update

[EDIT: Okay, here is a revised version of this update, since originally it had tons of typos and I had no time to revise. But I've kept the original in a spoiler for those of you who have nothing better to do than to read it. :P]

Obviously Forgotten Purrs has been lacking in activity lately, and this is almost entirely my fault. I plan on advertising a lot more and I will be more active as far as posting goes. I'll also be replacing notable character role-players who aren't active enough to role-play an NC.
There will be some changes as to who the site's staff are for two reasons. First, now that this site has reached a huge lapse in activity, we don't need very many staff members to keep it running. Second, many of our staff members are inactive, or not active enough to set a good example for our newer members.
[EDIT: Okay, the updates to staff are as follows:
Holo has been removed as an OOC Mod for her inactivity.
Twisted has been removed as a Roleplay Mod for her inactivity.
Little*Dreamer has been demoted to Global Mod from her former Administrator position. I'm really sorry, Dreamer..
HalfKitten has taken Holo's place as an OOC Mod.

I'm sorry, everyone.. I hate demoting people as much as you hate being demoted. I know that any words of apology will sound empty to those of you who are receiving the bad news, but I just want you all to know that I do feel bad doing this....And I wish that I didn't have to, but I honestly feel that I must..]

From now on there will be a minimum of 30 posts per role-play post. This does not affect how long your posts must be out-of-character. I will be adding a word counter as soon as I am done revising this update, so you will be able to make sure that your posts are long enough. Note that out-of-character conversation in an otherwise role-playing post does not count towards your number of words.

You've probably noticed how slowly Forgotten Purrs now loads, especially if you're accessing the site from a mobile device (iPad, SmartPhone, etc.). Why is this? Well, there are two reasons. When your computer is first processing our new images (as you will recall, there was recently an update with our banner image and background), it will load more slowly. Once your computer is familiar with the image files, it will load quickly again.
But the second reason is that our background file is huge! It's much larger than necessary and my guess is that it's the main cause for the site's lagging. So if you find a background that you think would be better and load more quickly for FP, please post the image URL here or private message it to me!

[EDIT: Also welcome our new toolbar! I'll leave you to explore its features, because right now I'm still working on getting to know them myself! ^^=]

I agree that the site is lacking activity and I do try to get on as much as I can.

And yeah, when I'm on my 3DS it loads a lot slower... but I'm sure it'll get faster later on.

Congrats!! :D And sorry about the demotions... I'll try my best to be active too. :) Also, psyched about the word count thing- now ppl will be putting a little more effort into their posts. And that includes me. xP

The site is still slower than I'd like, and it takes me ages to post something, let alone view a topic or post. :c

All these people are being demoted. I'm sorry everyone. D: But congrats to Kitten for becoming an OOC Mod.
It's not that bad for me on this computer, but it's so very slow on my iPod. But my iPod isn't really meant for sites like this, soo. xD

Mobile version is definitely better for viewing the forum on an iDevice or SmartPhone. There have been several changes to the mobile version, so you are now able to login and post from it, and it works a lot more quickly. :)

I can't check it right now because my mom stole my iPod, so I'll just have to wait. :I
But hopefully it'll be faster and I'll actually be able to post easier. :3
